QuestionRequest: Rooting Ulefone Note 18 Ultra

Hello,

i would be very grateful if someone could provide a stock rom for Ulefone Note 18 Ultra.
I was searching the whole Internet, but i am not able to find one.

Beside of this i tried SP Flash Tool but it seems like it doesnt support Mediatek Dimensity 720 (MT6853V).
It was a error message like, it cannot access specific partitions.

If nobody is able to provide a stock rom is there still a possibility to create a stock rom on my own without root?
I managed to unlock the bootloader & i want to install a custom recovery like TWRP.

Can someone provide a appropriate TWRP version for this device or alternatively another custom recovery?

Sorry i made a mistake i meant MTK Droid Tool this is where this problem occurs. the usual MTK Droid tool was not able to recognize the device at all, but i downloaded a modified version here on XDA (MTK Droid Tool 2.5.3) and on this one it was able to recognize the device.

It gives this message:

--->>> Connect to device <<<--- --- ERROR : --- TotalBytesPerChunk Not Found. Set default Page/Spare=2048/64 !!! --- unknown ROM structure, backup NOT possible!

Any way you could link me a copy of your boot image? I accidentally flashed the wrong image in my boot and I can't find firmware anywhere. I believe my phone will boot once I get the boot image restored. If anyone has the firmware for note 18 ultra that would be even better! Ulefone doesn't have it anywhere to download.

Hello everyone,

I have now bought the phone and since there is little information here, a few things:

- The phone can be easily unlocked with the "fastboot flashing unlock" command

- Root access with Magisk is not a problem, in fastboot mode you can simply flash the patched boot.img

- MTKClient recognizes the phone, but it cannot connect. It just displays an error.

- Unfortunately, I get the error "dm-verity corruption" when starting the phone. That's why you have to press the power button within 5 seconds. Flashing the original vbmeta with the "--disable-verity --disable-verification" command didn't help. The same goes for the empty vbmeta, then the phone no longer boots.

- GSI Roms work perfectly. Both Android 14 and 15 from ponces work. Unfortunately, Android 15 is still a bit unstable (I couldn't log in to Google), which is why I'm on Android 14.

What is also interesting is that the so-called "hybrid slot hack" (i.e. 2 SIM cards + 1 micro SD card) also works great with the phone

I have the same problem. All the tricks to remove this DM-verity message simply don't work on this phone. But you can press the power button to boot ;-)

You can get the full firmware directly from Ulefone customer service. You have to contact them via email. Unfortunately, they stated that you shouldn't distribute the firmware to avoid potential problems for others with the phone :D

Sadly, it doesn’t work, by pressing the power button within the 5sec end it just restarts and stays in fastboot mode.
Yeah, I asked them; still waiting for an answer.

Hello there 🤗

I get one used phone Ulefone Power Armor 16S Dual SIM (8GB/128GB) with motherboard issues (no flashlight and camera always stuck in use) I managed to repair it.

Now I have another problem 😕

I need to find a appropriate factory rom for root access for patch it via magisk, flash the phone with the patched rom.
Where I can download it?
I prefer better to install TWRP but there no official or unofficial release for Ulefone Power Armor 16S Dual SIM (8GB/128GB).
Is a way to compile my own TWRP without risking breaking my phone?

    Use MtkClient instead of SPFT to read your boot image. You can then keep on with the usual Magisk process.
