Courtesy Visit to the Minister of Justice by the Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM)
On February 26, 2024, Minister KOIZUMI Ryuji received a courtesy visit by Ms. Amy E. Pope, the IOM Director General.
Minister Koizumi welcomed IOM Director General Pope, and expressed his gratitude to her for the support the IOM has provided for immigration control in Japan. In addition, they agreed to further strengthen cooperative relationships between the Immigration Services Agency of Japan (ISA) and the IOM based on the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) signed by both parties on the same day.
