Justice Minister Received a Courtesy Call from the Staff Judge Advocate for the United States Forces, Japan and the Fifth Air Force

On July 10, 2020, Justice Minister Mori received a courtesy call from Colonel Charles E. Wiedie, Jr., Staff Judge Advocate for the United States Forces, Japan (USFJ) and the Fifth Air Force. As Colonel Wiedie will be leaving his position soon, Minister Mori presented him with a letter of appreciation. Colonel Wiedie expressed his gratitude for the letter and stated how much he enjoyed his five-year tour of duty in Japan.

Colonel Wiedie was assigned to Japan in July 2017. During the period of his assignment, he significantly contributed to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Japan and the USFJ by promoting mutual understanding of the legal systems of Japan and the United States.
