What do you want to experience when you visit Japan? If you want to know more about Japan, why don't you meet people through the food that has been eaten since the olden days, and learn about the traditional culture and history of the region?

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries introduces areas that offer attractive history and culture, food and dietary culture nurtured by the natural features and climate, and experiences that you can do only at that location, and certifies these areas as “SAVOR JAPAN” areas.

You should visit these certified areas and enjoy the traditional food and dietary culture of Japan.

Currently, 41 areas have been certified as “SAVOR JAPAN” areas, and we offer information such as featured dishes, culture, history, and experiences. You should try to check out the area you are interested by clicking the links below.

The logo embodies the wish for visitors to experience the rich nature of Japan's rural villages, the food culture born from each region, and the essence of Japan's beauty.
The motifs are "mountains," "sea," "rice paddies," "fields," "rivers," and "chopsticks."
