A science experiment manual for elementary school students prepared by Ms. Rina Miura (science education), a member of JOCV, was presented to the Ministry of Education.
Ms. Miura has been working to incorporate more experiments into science classes at Belau Modekngei School.
The elementary school version of the science experiment manual presented introduces experiments using items that can be procured in Palau, where laboratory equipment and reagents are scarce.
We plan to introduce the manual at schools where our elementary education JOCVs are dispatched.
