Abstract:
Dr. Duk SUNWOO is a director of Research center for long-term care policies at Korea Institute for Health & Social Affairs (KIHASA). He is a specialist of long-term care policy in Korea and has been involved in Korean government’s long-term care policy planning. At present he is a member of Committee and Working Group for Operating Long Term Care Insurance Program which was established by Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2008. He had studied at the Graduate School of Health Science and Nursing in the University of Tokyo, and he is familiar to Japanese long-term care policy. So, he is a specialist of long-term care policy both of Korea and Japan. He is also the president of the Korean Academy of Long-Term care. In this lecture, he will discuss about the trends and challenges of Korean Long-term care Insurance for elderly that is enforced in 2008.
