    Lecturer: László J. Kulcsár (Professor, Kansas State University)

    Profile of Professor Kulcsár:
    Dr. Kulcsár is a social demographer, focusing on migration, urbanization, aging and rural depopulation in the American Great Plains and Eastern Europe. Prior to his academic career he was a consultant on various European Union rural development projects. He was the lead editor of the International Handbook of Rural Demography, and has been appointed as the upcoming editor of the journal Rural Sociology. He is the research chair at the KSU Center on Aging, and currently serves as the Head of the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work.
