Empirical analyses on the origin of child fostering in Africa
Outline
Child fostering is common in Africa. This research project aims at exploring the origin of this practice. Specifically, it empirically explores the relationships of this practice with centralized political systems in pre-colonial periods and rainfall seasonality based on the hypotheses proposed in prior theoretical studies.
