Grand strategies of Taiwan under U.S-China great power competition

Outline

Theories of international relations have centered around the logic of great powers. It is indeed that major existing studies had referred to the influence of great powers against small powers. However, the influece of small poers against great powers and struggles for hegemony had not been focused on.

This research project takes Taiwan as a major case study and shows that even smalls powers can influence the outcome of a struggle for hegemony between great powers, by envisioning their-own grand strategies, which formulated by the major political parties in Taiwan.
