Methods and Practices of Big Data Processing for Social Scientists(2021_2_40_006)

Outline

The aim of this research project is to make more big data accessible to more social scientists. We intended to reach this goal through two paths. First, we will create a textbook on big data processing methods, considering the needs and general technical background of social scientists. Second, we will compile and make available global datasets that are pre-processed from big data into formats widely used in the social sciences. These tasks will be carried out through collaboration among members and observers from various academic backgrounds, including frequent and in-depth consultation with a wider audience or potential users in the social sciences.
