How to create a Firebird or InterBase database by using ADOX and Visual C# .NET (or VBScript)

To run all examples in this article you need IBProvider. If you didn’t install provider yet, download them right now !

For setup new database parameters you can use new IBProvider initialization properties:

• IBP_NEWDB: Default Charset — set database charset by default.
• IBP_NEWDB: Database Page Size — db page size.
• IBP_NEWDB: Database Dialect — database dialect.
• IBP_NEWDB: Default Charset Collation — only in Firebird 2.5 or above.
• IBP_NEWDB: Type Of Database Users — embedded or global server users. Available only in InterBase 7.5 or above.

Create Firebird/InterBase database using VBScript:
