Goals

  1. (1)Spatial impact assessment on natural capital by agriculture commodities
  2. (2)The development of supply chain assessment tools for TNFD evaluation
  3. (3)Company-level assessment for TNFD from procurement information

Research Contents

  • Estimation of positive and negative biodiversity impacts for over 5,000 endangered species
  • Crop-specific impacts assessed based on global crop area and yield
  • Expansion of the supply chain database to specific agricultural and livestock products
  • Development of tools to assess the impacts of producing, trading, and consuming crops on biodiversity,
  • Collecting procurement information from companies involved in the SIP circular economy based on interviews
  • Assess and visualize the impact on natural capital in response to the TNFD using (1), (2), and procurement information
