Denver-based, Energy Fuels is a global critical mineral company poised to provide 10 of the 50 critical minerals the world needs for today’s technology and beyond. Utilizing a 45-year history in uranium, we leverage our expertise, permits and facilities to bring key elements to the global supply chain.

We are currently the largest U.S. uranium provider, supplying American nuclear energy utilities with the first step in the zero-emissions nuclear energy fuel cycle. We also produce rare earth oxides, processing at our facility in the U.S. and are adding new products like titanium, zircon minerals and medical isotopes.

Energy Fuels has created a unique, low-cost critical mineral supply chain, centered in the United States.

Please watch this video to learn how Energy Fuels is standing-up a ‘one-of-its kind’ U.S. critical mineral supply chain, focused on uranium, rare earth elements, medical isotopes, and vanadium production at our existing facility in Utah, USA. We are securing our own low-cost supply chain of rare earth minerals, maintaining our U.S.-leading uranium production, and rapidly emerging as a major global supplier of titanium and zirconium minerals, all while upholding the highest global mining standards.

America’s Leading Producer of Uranium

Fueled by uranium, nuclear energy is a significant source of clean energy, generating 20% of all electricity – and nearly 55% of U.S. carbon- and emission-free electricity. Energy Fuels has produced two-thirds of all U.S. uranium between 2017 and 2023.

Rare Earth Processing in the U.S.

Energy Fuels is working to onshore a critical part of the rare earth element supply chain, helping to produce in the U.S. the materials for many clean energy and advanced technologies.

Vanadium Production. Today.

Energy Fuels is a major U.S. producer of vanadium, a strategic mineral used in high-strength steel, titanium and other alloys, and in the batteries needed to store power from renewable energy.

Did you know?

Energy Fuels’ White Mesa Mill is becoming the nation’s clean energy hub, where certain critical materials needed for clean, reliable energy are produced. This includes uranium, rare earth elements, and vanadium. We recently hosted a special open house event where over 200 people learned about the products, the processes, and the people who are making our world a better place. Learn more.

Landmark Agreement with Navajo Nation Signed

Energy Fuels and the Navajo Nation have reached a historic agreement to govern uranium ore transport on Federal and State highways crossing Navajo territory. Shipments are expected to resume in February. In addition to augmented precautions that go beyond strict USDOT requirements for transport, we are honored to assist the Nation in the clean-up of abandoned uranium mines stemming from cold war era U.S. government programs. Though Energy Fuels was not involved in those programs, the Navajo Nation continue to suffer many challenges, and we are proud to support our Navajo neighbors in such important work with safety and respect.

The Toliara Project – A World-Class Critical Mineral Project

Through our recent acquisition of Base Resources, Energy Fuels is now the owner and operator of the Toliara Project in Madagascar. We believe this to be the best critical mineral development project in the World with attractive economics and large quantities of rare earth, titanium and zirconium minerals, along with uranium.

Energy Fuels Links the Rare Earth Supply Chain from Mining to Advanced Technologies

We are the link in the chain connecting a rare earth supply chain from raw material mining to permanent magnets for robotics, defense technology, drones, and electric mobility. Energy Fuels’ two recent announcements regarding a strategic alliance with Chemours and a signed MOU with POSCO International, showcase the active steps the company is taking to complete the chain.

Highlights

#1 in U.S. Uranium Production

Energy Fuels has produced two-thirds (2/3) of all uranium in the U.S. since 2017, and we are increasing our production further.

2 Licensed U.S. Uranium Production Facilities

Energy Fuels holds two uranium processing facilities, including the only conventional uranium mill in the U.S. and a low-cost ISR facility.

3 of the World's Top Heavy Mineral Sands Assets

Energy Fuels holds Heavy Mineral Sands assets in Madagascar, Brazil and a Joint Venture in Australia for production of zirconium and titanium, which could also provide up to 45,000 tpa of our rare earth feedstock monazite, a by-product of heavy mineral sand processing.

Rare Earths for 1 to 6 Million Electric Vehicles

Energy Fuels successfully completed its first commercial run of ‘on-spec’ NdPr oxide in its Phase 1 rare earth element circuit with capacity to produce enough material to power 1 million EV’s per year. By 2027, the Company plans to expand that capacity to power up to 6 million EVs per year.

10+ Million Lbs. of Uranium Capacity

Energy Fuels has more licensed and operational uranium production capacity than any other U.S. miner.

81+ Million Lbs. of M&I Uranium Resources

Energy Fuels holds more in-ground uranium resources than any other US producer. View our resource summary for additional information on grade and tonnage.
Conventional Uranium Production
Energy Fuels is the only conventional uranium producer in America. We take great pride in our uranium mining, as well as owning and operating a mill, and conventional mines that can produce up to 8 million pounds of uranium per year. This uranium is critical to powering the nuclear energy facilities that are America’s largest source of clean energy. We have the capability to increase production at those operations faster – and on a greater scale – than our peers as uranium prices rise in the coming years.
Energy Fuels is also seeking to participate in Environmental Protection Agency cleanups of abandoned uranium mines and other sites that contain natural uranium. We offer a variety of uranium mine, environmental and other cleanup and recycling services.
In 2018, Energy Fuels became the only primary vanadium producer in North America. Vanadium is mainly in steel and high-strength alloys, and can support the clean energy industry as a component in large-scale batteries for storing electricity generated from wind and solar.
Energy Fuels is a leading uranium mining company in the United States. They provide nuclear fuel for power plants in the US and around the world. Energy Fuels operates several uranium mines in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. They also have a state-of-the-art milling facility that processes the uranium ore. With their experience and expertise, Energy Fuels is a leader in the uranium mining industry.
