A solar array consists of a number of solar modules connected together and appropriately mounted so as to provide a single substantial electrical output from the solar radiation falling on them.
Although a solar array produces power when exposed to sunlight, a number of other components are required to properly conduct, control, convert, distribute, and store the energy produced by the array. See solar power system for more details.
