After investigating the factors related to equipment, environment, and management, it was determined that the possibility of these factors causing the fire was extremely low, and the cause could not be identified. The details of the findings are as follows.
Although the cause could not be identified, we have reminded our employees and contractor workers to "refrain from bringing unnecessary open flames onto the premises" and to "exercise extreme caution when using open flames." We will continue to rigorously enforce fire prevention management. Furthermore, since human factors cannot be ruled out, we will strengthen our management and surveillance systems to prevent suspicious behavior before it occurs.
We have filed a police report regarding this incident and will continue to cooperate fully with the police investigation.

]]>C-Tech has established the project companies each in the following three sea areas (Note) through a consortium led by Mitsubishi Corporation Offshore Wind Ltd. (hereinafter "Mitsubishi Corporation Offshore Wind"), and has been proceeding with the development of offshore wind farms as a power generator.
However, in response to changes in the business environment that exceeded initial forecasts at the time of public offering participation, we have been working to reassess the project's feasibility. Based on Mitsubishi Corporation Offshore Wind's intentions following this reassessment and discussions among the project partners, we have concluded that continuing the project is difficult.
We take very seriously the fact that we were unable to meet the expectations of the local community and all concerned parties.

This will result in an estimated loss of approximately 17 billion yen in our consolidated income and loss statement for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
Regarding our consolidated earnings forecast (for the fiscal year ending March 2026), while factors contributing to improved profitability, such as increased operation of air conditioning equipment due to high summer temperatures, are emerging, in addition to the need to assess future supply and demand conditions and the ongoing implementation of group-wide profitability improvement measures, we have not revised the forecast from the value announced on July 29, 2025.
We will promptly notify you if any significant changes occur in our consolidated earnings forecasts following a thorough review of future supply and demand conditions.

Residents participating in this demonstration experiment will be able to receive notifications of local events that were previously confirmed in publicity magazines and posters, as well as information tailored to individual circumstances that was previously received by mail from Toin Town, via this app developed by Chubu Electric Power.
Furthermore, residents can use this app to accumulate points through checking in at local government events and engaging in daily healthy activities with the Toin Town Health Promotion Point Card, as well as to provide feedback to Toin Town on the results of their actions in response to the information provided.
This will enable Toin Town to go beyond simply disseminating information and create a system for receiving information from residents, with the aim of working with residents to develop a data-driven health management system and services tailored to individual health conditions.
Toin Town aims to extend healthy life expectancy by fostering health awareness among its residents and maintaining and improving their life functions, under the future vision of "Healthy and Active Town". Through this demonstration experiment, we aim to create a town where residents can live with peace of mind, so that each individual can receive appropriate support and continue to live independently according to their abilities in their familiar neighborhoods for as long as possible.
Chubu Electric Power and nekoriko will verify the effectiveness of this app and confirm operational issues, while also considering its future introduction and expansion to other municipalities. By working to solve various social issues in an aging society, we will contribute to the realization of a safe and secure community.
]]>Initially, our company planned to establish TCK in collaboration with Helsinki Education Pty Ltd (Headquarters: Victoria, Australia; Director: KAM MING YU; “Helsinki”), which operates HEI's early childhood education program in Australia, and Alpha Corporation, which operates childcare services in Japan(Press release issued on February 4, 2025).
As a result of subsequent discussions, the framework will change so that our company and Alpha Corporation will establish TCK. HEI, a Finnish educational research institution that distributes licenses and curriculums for HEI Schools (Note) worldwide, will be directly involved in dispatching Finnish teachers. This will provide a higher quality of service than originally planned, as teachers with experience in HEI's educational philosophy and curriculum at the kindergartens in Finland will be involved in the operation.
HEI Schools Nagoya Sakae, an international preschool located in The Landmark Nagoya Sakae, currently under development in Naka-ku, Nagoya City will open as scheduled in April 2026.
We will continue to provide services that enrich our customers' lives, including childcare support services, and contribute to solving local issues and revitalizing the community.
(Note) It is a Finnish-style early childhood education program developed by HEI based on research at the University of Helsinki, and is currently being implemented in more than 14 countries around the world (as of July 31, 2025).

On November 26, 2024, we established a new company, Kushiro Wood Products Corporation ("Kushiro Wood Products"), thoroughly verified the business scheme, revised part of the plan, and decided to aim for commercial production to start in April 2028.
mage of log yard
The domestic market for structural timber for residential use is dominated by foreign products in terms of price and strength. Because of this, even when the time comes to harvest Japan's abundant forest resources, most of them are not being put to effective use, limiting their contribution to the recycling of forest resources and the realization of a decarbonized society.
In addition, many domestic laminated wood manufacturers rely on imports from Europe for their raw material, "laminar (sawn lumber)", and due to exchange rate fluctuations and the current uncertain global economic situation, it is difficult to predict stable procurement.
Kushiro Wood Products will establish Japan's largest sawmill in Hokkaido, equipped with European-made lumbering machinery and kiln dryer. It will manufacture laminar from Hokkaido-grown logs such as Todo-fir, which are of the same quality as imported wood, and sell it to domestic laminated wood manufacturers. In addition to laminar, the company plans to sell dimensional lumber (2 x 4 lumber) and other products manufactured at this mill to housing manufacturers and other customers.
At the time of the announcement in July 2024, the initial plan was to establish a new laminated wood factory equipped with a laminated wood production line to mainly manufacture and sell laminar for residential structures, in addition to the above-mentioned sawmill. However, after verifying the profitability of the business, it was decided not to establish the laminated wood factory and instead to specialize in the manufacture and sale of laminar and dimension lumber.
Photos of Todo-fir laminar for laminated wood (main product) and Architectural rendering of lumber mill line
In order to secure distribution volume and reduce costs, the mill will introduce large European-made machinery to enable mass production and stable supply. This will enhance its competitive advantage over imported woods in terms of quality, price, and distribution volume, leading to the promotion of domestic materials by housing manufacturers.
We will engage in lumber business in Kushiro, Hokkaido, with the goal of expanding the domestic lumber market, thereby contributing to the realization of a decarbonized society, the preservation of forest cycles, and the revitalization of the local economy.

Today, our company invested approximately 300 million yen in NEWGREEN's third-party allocation of new shares, thereby acquiring additional shares in NEWGREEN.
Moving forward, we will work with NEWGREEN to visualize the environmental value created by reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions through this cultivation method, as we aim to build a supply chain for rice with added environmental value.
In addition, since last fiscal year, Chubu Electric Power has begun field trials of this cultivation method in the Chubu area. The current fiscal year, we are proceeding with trials of this cultivation method at three new trial sites in Aichi, Mie, and Nagano Prefectures.
To expand the cultivation area, we'll use DX tools and drones for these trials to verify efficient cultivation systems and check cultivation methods under different environmental conditions.
Through the production of rice using this highly productive and decarbonizing cultivation method, Chubu Electric Power will build a food infrastructure to solve social issues in the agricultural sector thus contributing to the realization of a sustainable and livable society and the achievement of the SDGs.

The purpose of this agreement is to promote the electrification of vehicles at bus operators by the two companies working together to resolve issues related to charging when introducing multiple EV buses.
As part of this agreement, the two companies will conduct a demonstration test with bus operators who have adopted Chubu Electric Power's EV charging management system, "OPCAT®," (Note) to link it with LECIP's newly developed EV charge switching device and EV charge control system ("the switching device"). The goal is to begin service in the second half of fiscal year 2025.
Through the initiatives based on this agreement, the two companies will resolve issues faced by bus operators that support the lives of local residents, and contribute to both securing and maintaining sustainable regional public transportation and achieving carbon neutrality.
(Note) The service was launched in October 2023. (Press release issued on September 28, 2023)
