Given: The mail-system project, an object of MailServer, and two objects of MailClient with their instance named sophia and juan.

To find: The steps to set the breakpoint in the sendMailItem methodâ€TMs first line present in the MailClient class, call the sendMailItem method and then use the Step Into command in order to enter the constructor present in MailItem class. Observe the instance variables as well as local variables displayed in the debugger window and then use the Step command in order to observe the initializing of the instance variables.

Solution:

In order to set the breakpoint in the first line of sendMailItem method, it is necessary to open the editor of class MailClient.

An editor window will appear on screen.

Now, click on the first line of the method sendMailItem method and then click on the Set/Clear Breakpoint option from the Tools.

The Breakpoint has now been set.

Now, invoke the method sendmailItem of the instance named sophie and passing the values to and message of type String.

When the ok button is pressed, a new debugger window will appear on screen.

Now, press the Step Into command...
