Writing Methods that Require a Single Parameter in Java
In this lab, you complete a partially written Java
The program continuously prompts the user for an integer until the user enters 0. The program then passes the value to a method that computes the sum of all the whole numbers from 1 up to and including the entered number. Next, the program passes the value to another method that computes the product of all the whole numbers up to and including the entered number.
The source code file provided for this lab includes the necessary variable declarations and the input statement. Comments are included in the file to help you write the remainder of the program.
Instructions
-
Ensure the file named SumAndProduct.java is open.
-
Write the Java statements as indicated by the comments.
-
Execute the program by clicking "Run Code."

- Java Programming: Write a program that reads five integer values from the user, then analyzes them as if they were a hand of cards. When your program runs it might look like this (user input is in orange for clarity): Enter five numeric cards, no face cards. Use 2 - 9. Card 1: 8 Card 2: 7 Card 3: 8 Card 4: 2 Card 5: 9 Pair! (This is a pair, since there are two eights). You are only required to find the hands Pair and Straight.arrow_forwardExercise 1Write a Java method random that generates and returns a random number between 14 and 59(using SecureRandom). Then return this value to the calling function. For example findTip(120.10, 5) would 126.105 because that is a 5% tip. While findTip(48.0, 15) would return 55.2 because that is a 15% tip. Note that the bill is a double while the tip is an int. Don’t worry about rounding to two decimal places, just return the full value as a double.arrow_forward
- Python Programming ONLY PLEASE NO JAVA Use recursion to determine the number of digits in an integer n. Hint: If n is < 10, it has one digit. Otherwise, it has one more digit than n / 10. Write the method and then write a test program to test the method Your test program must: Ask the user for a number Print the number of digits in that number. - Understanding ifStatements Summary In this lab, you complete a prewritten Java program for a carpenter who creates personalized house signs. The program is supposed to compute the price of any sign a customer orders, based on the following facts: The charge for all signs is a minimum of 35ドル.00. The first five letters or numbers are included in the minimum charge; there is a 4ドル charge for each additional character. If the sign is made of oak, add 20ドル.00. No charge is added for pine. Black or white characters are included in the minimum charge; there is an additional 15ドル charge for gold-leaf lettering. Instructions 1. Ensure the file named HouseSign.java is open. 2. You need to declare variables for the following, and initialize them where specified: A variable for the cost of the sign initialized to 0.00 (charge). A variable for the number of characters initialized to 8 (numChars). A variable for the color of the characters initialized to "gold" (color).
