Transcribed Image Text:Write a program that requests the five cards as input from the user, creates the related array, and passes the array to
procedures to determine the type of the hand: flush (all cards have the same suit), straight (cards have consecutive
ranks-ace can come either before 2 or after King), straight flush, four-of-a-kind, full house (three cards of one rank,
two cards of another rank), three-of-a-kind, two pairs, one pair, or none of the above.
Rank: Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13
Suitl Diamonds = D, Hearts = H, Clubs = c, Spades = S
Enter your card values:
Card #1: 5 D
Card #2: 5 H
Card #3: 5 C
Card #4: 12 S
Card #5: 12 D
The hand is a full house

A poker hand can be stored in a two-dimensional array. The statement
int hand[4][13];
declares an array with 52 elements, where the first subscript ranges over the four suits and the second subscript
ranges over the thirteen ranks. A poker hand is specified by placing 1's in the elements corresponding to the cards in
the hand. See Figure 1.

- In C++: Write a program which will prompt the user to enter an array of 12 characters. The program should then print the array, and then print the array again, but this time as a 4 colums by 3 rows array.arrow_forwardWrite a C# program that creates an integer array of size 10 and fills the array with numbers set by the programmer (not entered by the user). Then, the program will create two arrays, one of them contains only the odd values of the original array, and the other contains the even values. Note that the size of the newly created arrays should be equal to the number of elements in the array. For example, if the original array contains three odd values, the size of the array that contains the odd values should be equal to three.arrow_forwardC++arrow_forward
- What transpires when a parameter for an array is sent in with either the ref or out keyword, and the results are observed?arrow_forwardProblem Description - JAVA PROGRAMMING Use a Two-dimensional (3x3) array to solve the following problem: Write an application that inputs nine numbers, each of which is between 1 and 10, inclusive. Display the array after the user inputs each value. Rotate/flip the array by changing places. Make the rows columns and vice versa. You have to move the elements to their new locations. Remember to validate the input and display an error message if the user inputs invalid data. Documentation and the screenshot(s) of the results. Example: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 the result will be : 1 4 7 2 5 8 3 6 9arrow_forwardIn this project you will generate a poker hand containing five cards randomly selected from a deck of cards. The names of the cards are stored in a text string will be converted into an array. The array will be randomly sorted to "shuffle" the deck. Each time the user clicks a Deal button, the last five cards of the array will be removed, reducing the size of the deck size. When the size of the deck drops to zero, a new randomly sorted deck will be generated. A preview of the completed project with a randomly generated hand is shown in Figure 7-50.arrow_forward
- In C++ language, write a program to print "Junior" if the given array element starts with 'J' and print "Senior" if the array element starts with 's'. Print the name of the player and the message Junior" or "Senior" accordingly. string names [5] = {"J-Liam", "S-Naoh", "S-Elijah", "J-James", "S-Henry"};arrow_forwardCreate a program in C Language that calculates a student's overall grade based on their assignments, quizzes, and exams. Create three separate arrays of `double` which will store 5 assignments, 3 quizzes, and 2 exams, respectively. The program should prompt the user to enter the grades for each group on one line (see example). The program should then compute the average of each individual group and then weight that group based on the value given for the corresponding weight. In the example run below, the average assignment score is first calculated and then multiplied by the given assignment weight. The final grade is calculated as the sum of all weighted groups and should be printed to 2 decimal places. Submit your code as grades.c Other Requirements Do not hard code any values. Use preprocessor directives or `const` globals for array sizes. Your code must use consistent formatting and spacing. Points will be taken off for inconsistent or sloppy code. Example Run Enter 5 assignment...arrow_forwardThe Lo Shu Magic Square is a grid with 3 rows and 3 columns shown below. The Lo Shu Magic Square has the following properties: The grid contains the numbers 1 – 9 exactly The sum of each row, each column and each diagonal all add up to the same number. This is shown below: Write a program that simulates a magic square using 3 one dimensional parallel arrays of integer type. Do not use two-dimensional array. Each one the arrays corresponds to a row of the magic square. The program asks the user to enter the values of the magic square row by row and informs the user if the grid is a magic square or not. Processing Requirements - c++ Use the following template to start your project: #include<iostream> using namespace std; // Global constants const int ROWS = 3; // The number of rows in the array const int COLS = 3; // The number of columns in the array const int MIN = 1; // The value of the smallest number const int MAX = 9; // The value of the largest number //...arrow_forward
