Given an array of integers, write a function to find the second largest number in the array. The function should return -1 if the array has less than two elements.
Function signature: int second_largest(int arr[], int size)
Example:
Input: arr = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5], size = 5
Output: 4
Input: arr = [1], size = 1
Output: -1
Notes:
The function should work for arrays of any size.
You can assume that the elements of the array are unique and not sorted in any particular order.
This problem requires the use of loops, conditional statements, and basic array operations, and it can be solved using a variety of

- // New Function prototypes void showValues(const int *, int); // display 10 numbers in a line from the array void fillArray(int *, int, int, int); // fill out random numbers between low and high into the array bool searchValue(const int *, int, int); // search value from the array void sortArray( int *, int); //sort the array in an ascending order void swap(int *, int *); //swap the values Modify the code below to create 50 random numbers instead of 10 and use the above new function protoypes. In the output, remove the display of the minimum, maximum and average from the array. Modify the showValues() function to display 10 numbers in a line from the array. [Part 2] Add the two functions to sort an array in an ascending order: void sortArray(int*, int); //ascending ordervoid swap(int*, int*); In the sortArray() function called the swap() function to swap the values from two elements in the array. Code: #include <iostream>#include <iomanip>#include...arrow_forwardDisplay Array values Write a program that lets the user enter ten values into an array. Then pass the array, the size of the array, and the number, num to a function called displayArrayValues(). The function should then display all the numbers in the array larger than n. - /)9. Given an array of integers, write a PHP function to find the maximum element in the array. PHP Function Signature: phpCopy code function findMaxElement($arr) { // Your code here } Example: Input: [10, 4, 56, 32, 7] Output: 56 You can now implement the findMaxElement function to solve this problem. The first screen should ask the user for his name, print a welcome message, and display an empty 3x3 Tic Tac Toe board. Then, the program should ask the user to put the coordinates of his move. once the user enters the coordinates, the program should respond accordingly with a print of the user's move and the computer's move. this should go on until a winning pattern is found. Key steps: Game board is designed, user inputs taken and marked on the board, validate the inputs that no two inputs at the same place and out of range, check the winner/loser and complete the game.arrow_forward
- Create Array of Random Dates In this task you are required to write a function that will generate a column array (a variable called dates) containing N random dates. N is an integer (whole number) entered by the user and will indicate to the function how many random dates the user requires. The dates array will be structured as follows: • The array shall have two columns; column 1 will contain numbers indicating the day of each month (1-31) and column 2 will contain numbers indicating the month (Jan 1, Feb=2, Mar = 3.... Dec = 12). . Each day must be randomly generated (using the randi() function) taking into account the maximum number of days in each month (i.e. Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Aug. Oct and Dec have 31 days, Apr. Jun, Sep and Nov have 30 days and Feb will have 28 days). You must use an if-elseif-else statement to decide this. • We are assuming no leap years (e. February can only have days between 1-28). For example, the output from calling the function: output = dategen (3) could...arrow_forwardThis program will display an array being passed to a function, show. The show function will display the elements of the given array. The main program controls the size and the inputs of an array. // function prototype void show(int [], int); int main(){ const int arraysize=5; int numbers[arraysize]={3,6,12,7,5}; show(numbers, arraysize); // (A) show(numbers,arraysize+1); return 0;} //function body void show(int nums[], int size){ for (int index=0;index<size; index++) cout<<nums[index]<<endl; } What is the output of this program? What is the output if modification (A) has been made?arrow_forward1- Write a user-defined function that accepts an array of integers. The function should generate the percentage each value in the array is of the total of all array values. Store the % value in another array. That array should also be declared as a formal parameter of the function. 2- In the main function, create a prompt that asks the user for inputs to the array. Ask the user to enter up to 20 values, and type -1 when done. (-1 is the sentinel value). It marks the end of the array. A user can put in any number of variables up to 20 (20 is the size of the array, it could be partially filled). 3- Display a table like the following example, showing each data value and what percentage each value is of the total of all array values. Do this by invoking the function in part 1.arrow_forward
