Where to Purchase

You can purchase iPhone from apple.com, or at an Apple Store. You may also choose to buy iPhone online at apple.com, and pick it up in an Apple Store.

How to pick up your iPhone

When you buy iPhone from apple.com, it is sold unlocked (without a carrier contract). An unlocked iPhone can be picked up by the purchaser or a designated pickup contact

To buy online and pick up your iPhone in an Apple Store, the primary account holder or the authorised user will need to bring the following:

  • Card used for payment or Order Number
  • Valid photo ID

If your photo ID does not match the billing address on your account, please bring a second form of ID (for example, a utility bill) with the correct address.

Alternatively, if you’d prefer to buy iPhone with a contract plan, just visit an Apple Store and we’ll get you up and running.

How do I activate my iPhone?

Activation requirements

Your iPhone is all you need for activation. It will guide you through the process and connect to either a Wi-Fi or cellular network to complete the activation.

If you are using iTunes to activate your iPhone, you need an Internet connection for your computer and the current version of iTunes. You can download iTunes for free for Mac or PC. You also need to create an Apple ID if you don't already have one. An Apple ID account allows you to preview and buy music, TV shows, movies, applications, games and more so that you can enjoy them on your iPhone. While this account is free, a credit card is required for setup. Your card is not charged by Apple until you make a purchase from the iTunes Store or App Store.

Can I keep my number?

Please contact your chosen carrier. They will guide you to either fill in a form (if you are an existing customer) or request a PAC code (if you are on a different mobile phone network.). The PAC code allows the carrier to acquire your telephone number and apply it to their service.

Additional Information

Read on for some additional information related to iPhone, including accessory compatibility, gifting, recycling, checking order status, and returns and refunds

Accessory Compatibility

To ensure the best possible customer experience, Apple has created special iPhone compatibility requirements for accessory manufacturers. Products that are engineered and certified to be compatible with iPhone carry a "Works with iPhone" logo on the packaging.

If you connect iPhone to an accessory that was not made to work with iPhone, you can activate Airplane Mode while connected to the accessory. This will avoid any potential audio interference, but you will not be able to make or receive calls. If you choose not to activate Airplane Mode, you will still be able to make and receive calls, but you may experience some audio interference.
