Create and edit images in AI Mode
You can now create and edit images in AI Mode within seconds and bring your imagination to life.
What you need
- This feature is currently available to users 18 or older in English in the US or India.
- You must be signed in to a personal Google Account that you manage on your own.
- For the best experience, enable Search history by turning on Web & App Activity.
- Image generation has daily usage limits. Higher daily usage limits are available to Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers in the US and India in English. To become a Google AI Pro or AI Ultra user, subscribe to Google One.
Important: AI responses may include mistakes. Learn about generative AI and its limitations.
Get started
Create an image in AI Mode
- On your computer, open AI Mode.
- At the bottom left, click .
- Click Create images.
- In the "Ask anything" bar, enter a prompt that describes the image you want to create or click on one of the suggested prompts.
To upload an image, click , and then upload image.
Edit an image
To edit an image, describe the edits you want to make or select one of the suggested prompts in the "Ask anything" bar.
AI Mode image creation limits
Image generation has daily limits based on your Google AI subscription plan.
- No Google AI plan: Up to 100 images in a 24 hour period
- Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra: Up to 1000 images in a 24 hour period
If you reach your daily limit, you can wait for it to refresh or upgrade to Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra.
Important: Image creation limits may change based on available capacity, demand, and your Google AI subscription plan.
