Install third-party apps from Chrome for iPhone and iPad
On your iPhone or iPad, you can install third-party apps directly from websites in Chrome.
Install apps from Chrome
Important:
- To use this feature, your device must be iOS 17.4 or iPadOS 18, or later.
- This feature isn’t available in all countries or regions at this time.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome Chrome.
- Go to a site that lets you download apps via a third-party marketplace.
- Tap the link to install it.
- Before you can continue the installation of a third-party marketplace for the first time, you need to allow installations from it.
- On the "App Installation" dialog, tap OK.
- Open your device’s Settings app.
- At the top of the settings page, tap Allow Apps From [Developer name] and then Allow.
- If you have a passcode, enter it.
- After you allow the installation, to install the app, go back to the site in Chrome Chrome.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- On the site, tap Install and then Install App Marketplace.
- If you have a passcode, enter it.
- Open the third-party marketplace app and download an app.
