Command reference

The editor in Neo4j Browser understands a few client-side commands, which begin with a colon (:).

`:access-mode read/write`	Set the access mode to read or write.
`:clear`	Remove all frames from the stream.
`:connect`	Connect to a Neo4j instance. If already connected, this returns the instance you are connected to.
`:disconnect`	Disconnect the currently open connection to Neo4j.
`:guide <guide-name>`	Play a specific Neo4j Browser guide. The name can be specified with its name e.g, `:guide stackoverflow`, or with a valid URL, e.g. `:guide https://guides.neo4j.com/stackoverflow` .
`:history`	Open the history drawer of your executed commands.
`:play <guide-name>`	Play a specific Neo4j Browser guide. The name can be specified with its name e.g, `:play stackoverflow`, or with a valid URL, e.g. `:play https://guides.neo4j.com/stackoverflow` .
`:param <key-value>`	Set one parameter. The key-value can be specified as `x => 1`.
`:params`	Show all parameters. See Query parameters for more information.
`:params clear`	Remove all parameters.
`:params {<key-value pairs>}`	Adds or updates all parameters and then set the parameters to the specified key-value pairs. The key-value pairs can be specified as `{x: 1, y: 2}`. Integers will be set as numbers in this form.
`:server connect`	Connect to a Neo4j instance. If already connected, this returns the instance you are connected to.
`:server disconnect`	Disconnect the currently open connection to Neo4j.
`:style`	Show the current style configuration.
`:style reset`	Reset the style to the default styling.
`:sysinfo`	Show information about Store Size, Id Allocation, Page Cache, Transactions, and Databases.
`:use <database>`	Set the database to query by default (the default database is set to `neo4j`). You can also use Cypher, `USE <database> ...`, to specify a database.
`:welcome`	Launches the entry page with interactive guides. This is the initial command that is automatically executed every time you connect to an instance.
