TypeBuilder.IsGenericTypeDefinition Property
Microsoft Silverlight will reach end of support after October 2021. Learn more.
Gets a value indicating whether the current TypeBuilder represents a generic type definition from which other generic types can be constructed.
Namespace: System.Reflection.Emit
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)
Syntax
'Declaration
Public Overrides ReadOnly Property IsGenericTypeDefinition As Boolean
public override bool IsGenericTypeDefinition { get; }
Property Value
Type: System.Boolean
true if this TypeBuilder object represents a generic type definition; otherwise, false.
Remarks
A TypeBuilder object represents a generic type definition if the DefineGenericParameters method has been used to give it generic type parameters. An instance of the TypeBuilder class that is generic is always a generic type definition.
A TypeBuilder can be used to build generic type definitions, but not constructed generic types. To get a constructed generic type, call the MakeGenericType method on a TypeBuilder that represents a generic type definition.
