I may be particularly tough, but today is the day when I have finally observed these buttons in the end of the list of students for an assignment:

I claim that the private note field should be at the very top, so that it is easy no notice. It may have limited height with a scroll bar to avoid taking up too much space or even be hidden by default (I would rather see at least the first line of notes - presumably there is something important there).

Two other buttons also should be at the top in the row with other buttons. But they should have shorter names, for example "Timestamps..." and "Export..." with hover tips and/or modals opening that explain what exactly they will do.

In particular the description of the last button is wrong - I got ipynb files in the export, not PDF and HTML.
