De-spagetifying Source #126

I am wanting to program my own engine, inspired by the Source engine(what about the "sauce" engine). Although I have barely any experience with c++, I am willing to at least give it a shot. I have no expectations of success, which is great about being a hobbyist. I think that what makes valve's games such bangers is the fact that source games are not only modifiable, but encouraged to be so. As I'm sure we all know, source was released nearly two decades ago with code going as far back as Quake (since Source is basically quake engine v3). The source engine is notoriously difficult to work with, and is in desperate need of de-spagettification. I am aware that source is more or less obsolete nowadays, but I believe it just needs a rework, and maybe better dev tools on par with UE4's. I don't know. I'm just looking at the code to see what kind of functionality needs implemented
