How did you check? It's present on my end (albeit set to null since her one repost is of a story). I enabled network monitoring, went to https://www.instagram.com/stories/pokimanelol/, clicked on pokimanelol/?r=1 and extracted the reels_media section of the response.

It is using some older API endpoint to retrieve story data
/v1/feed/reels_media/?reel_ids=USER_ID

I'm new to this, but how does that API endpoint not include it when the reels_media section of the response is under xdt_api__v1__feed__reels_media, resembling the API endpoint gallery-dl is using?

It's a different endpoint and returns different data fields than the endpoints ones used by the website or the mobile application.

As I said in #8318 (reply in thread), use --write-pages when using gallery-dl on a user's stories and check the data in the file it produces.

I understand the data is different; it's just their names are basically identical (xdt_api__v1__feed__reels_media and /v1/feed/reels_media/), which confuses me. What endpoint does the website use for stories?
