Hi Jaehyun ! I am Vedant . My team and I are working on this project. Can we submit more projects? I already emailed capstones@mathworks.com but have not received a reply yet!

Hi Vedant,

Yes, you can. I already replied to your email with more details, sorry for the late response.

Best!

Will SVM (support vector machine) be good for predicting and controlling the Motor speed ?

Hi, I think it could be, but the reinforcement learning method in machine learning can be considered as the starting point of motor speed control if you are doing this with some motor speed or position sensors or sensorless approaches. Hope this helps.

Also, if anyone has any thoughts, please leave your experience here. Thanks.

Hi Agr-Sagar,

Hope you're doing well!
Happy to see you, you can leverage this project by referring to the previous submission above. Based on that, you can add conditions to plant models or try to think of control methods under the same plant model.

Looking forward to hearing good news from you!

Hello,
For beginners, can you provide us a speed control of DC motor with RLagent.

No, as this project is not part of that trend.

What is the deadline for project 218 registration and submission?

No deadline for registration. For submission, by default, you have 4 months after you register, but you can always request an extension.

Comment options

Dear auysh Thank you for asking me. I did it 5month ago but it is not perfect. The thing is that i could generate rated speed but if i want to control the speed i had to control constant Ke at the speed i want to generate. So i will try to make all output zero to 1 by using sigmoid function(or something else..) Best wishes Juwon

Hi @Juwonsung,

Are you planning to submit your solution?

Comment options

i want to do but i have to upgrade a little bit about my solution(it was not perfect i think... because if i wanna get proper RPM , i should change Ke each reference parameter. i think this part is not perfect. So if i have a chance to change it i want to upload as well) 2024년 12월 5일 (목) 오전 12:00, robertogl ***@***.***>님이 작성:

i used... well... i remember DDPG as the most common(i don't know which model is best for this prj, that's why i chose the very default detting model) 2024년 12월 1일 (일) 오후 3:18, Aditya waghaskar ***@***.***>님이 작성:

Hello,
That would be very generous of you. Thank you.
And don’t worry about perfection, nothing in this world is🙂

Ahaha okay than , at first i will find the material in my laptop and send it to you By any chance , if u r okay , could you give me your SNS id or something else? I'm also interested in research (my major is robot control engineering but now I'm working in military engineering so it's not too close to my major) i think it would be good relationships :)
