That is a quote from the ffmpeg builder Dockerfile.

The ffmpeg projects is committed to the new threaded architecture. What does that mean for the future of the ffmpeg.wasm project? Do you think browsers will adopt multi-threaded wasm or will ffmpeg.wasm stuck on version 5.x

My understanding is that we could upgrade to n6.0 and we will only have @ffmpeg/core-mt after that, since ffmpeg relies on pthreads. Personally, I think we should do it and publish a new version. People don't need multithreading can still use the old version. @jeromewu
