Should a "deprecated" tag (or similar) be added? #6105

I just installed dashy, and started playing with it a bit. Then I went to the github page for the project, and saw that the last release was a bit more than a year ago - the project does not seem to be supported anymore.

My question, that came from this, is wouldn't it be nice to add a tag on the frontend for these kinds of projects, so that the lazy homelabber knows what they get themselves into?

Just a thought, feel free to share your thoughts!

While a deprecated tag would be useful, Dashy is actively updated: https://github.com/Lissy93/dashy

You may have been looking at a fork.

Yes, I now see that there were multiple PRs merged in the past days and so, which is nice, however there was no release since may 30, 2024, hence my thought that it was abandoned.
Thanks for the correction!

We usually remove deprecated apps when we notice it, so i think there is no need for that label.
