Pass kernel options via refindplus_linux.conf #227

Dear All,
I use efi stub kernels on Gentoo Linux. I have two separate EFI partitions, one-one on my two drives. The main drive contains Boot, Microsoft and RefindPlus itself, the other contains my Linux efi kernel files.
All kernels are detected and shown, but kernel options are not passed to them during boot.
I copied the refindplus_linux.conf file to all available locations:
EFI1, EFI1\refind, EFI1\Linux, EFI2, EFI2\Linux.
The two EFI partitions are mounted under /boot/efi and /boot/efi2 after the system is booted up.

What is the proper way to define kernel options and pass them to RefindPlus? Under rEFInd, I had to place the refind_linux.conf next to the kernels, in my case into the EFI2\Linux directory.

Thanks!

RefindPlus should work with whatever works for rEFInd.

Do you mean to say the options are passed in rEFInd but not in RefindPlus? Importantly, note that RefindPlus currently prioritises refind_linux.conf files over refindplus_linux.conf files. This will change as from the next commit and appear in the next release.

If the required options are in the refind_linux.conf file and appear in rEFInd but not in RefindPlus, please raise an issue.
Unfortunately, the logging of this aspect is only available when the log_level config token is set to to 2, which is only valid when running an NPT build. So, build this type, set the log_level config token to 2, and include the generated log file as per the issue template.

Yepp, I thought the same - and yes, options are passed in rEFInd, but not in RefindPlus. Currently I have both refind_linux.conf and refindplus_linux.conf in the same directories (I am still testing/debugging/setting up RefindPlus, so I need rEFInd as a safe boot escape).

I did not raise an issue yet because I was not sure if the problem was on my side.
I am running the build now and run with log_level 2, and will create an issue instead of this discussion.

Thank you for the quick answer!
