After updating to the latest version of kotlinx-datetime at 0.7.0, the project has stopped building with the following errors:
1.java.lang.IllegalStateException: No file for kotlinx.datetime/Instant|null[0] (@ kotlinx.datetime/Instant|null[0]) in module <dev.gitlive:firebase-config>[ModuleDescriptorImpl@5a8c201c] packageFragmentProvider: PackageFragmentProviderImpl
2. java.lang.IllegalStateException: No file for kotlinx.datetime/Instant|null[0] (@ kotlinx.datetime/Instant|null[0]) in module <dev.gitlive:firebase-config>[ModuleDescriptorImpl@5a8c201c] packageFragmentProvider: PackageFragmentProviderImpl

kotlin-datetime messed up a breaking change, and not all the issues are resolved.
Keep your datetime library at 0.7.1-0.6.x-compat for awhile until it gets sorted out.
