Symptom: CM5 no power, lights, nothing
I recently purchased the CM5 with the official IO board. Today I tried to power it up but there is no life in it whatsoever. I've tried with an official pi power supply and other 5v ones I have around the house, along with various usbc cables. I also tested these cables and supplies on my known-good pi 4 and it worked fine.
os: Raspberry Pi OS 64
io board: https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry ... 5-io-board
cm5: https://thepihut.com/products/raspberry ... 6054431105
OS was flashed to an SSD plugged into the M.2 socket on the IO board.
I've tried powering up without the SSD but same outcome.
No lights on the IO board light up
No output on either HDMI
Power button has no effect
I haven't added any jumpers or anything like that, I just have the CM5 on the io board, power, usb type a keyboard, hdmi monitor (I know the monitor is fine and that the hdmi cable works)
the pi hut asked me to post here before they can help me.
Thanks

Can you post a picture of your setup?
Re: Symptom: CM5 no power, lights, nothing
I unplugged the power because as I was getting ready to take the photo I could smell "hot" and the silver component near the antenna clip was REALLY hot when I put my finger near it

Try removing the M2 Card, the USB and the HDMI and just connect the Raspberry Pi PSU.

Re: Symptom: CM5 no power, lights, nothing
Is the CM5 correctly seated ? What are the other PSUs you have tried ? could they have damaged the CM5 ?
Re: Symptom: CM5 no power, lights, nothing
It is yeah i've checked it a few times now, even took it off and put it back. I have a USB type c one which has been running a pi 4 in my living room for several months and a USB type a one with an A to C cable that runs a pi 4 that has been running home assistant on it for years. They've never damaged the Pi 4s so i'm not sure why they would harm the CM5?
