QT online installer fails

Mon Jun 16, 2025 9:04 pm

I am having trouble running the QT online installer. When I try and execute it I get this error:

qt.qpa.xcb: could not connect to display
qt.qpa.plugin: From 6.5.0, xcb-cursor0 or libxcb-cursor0 is needed to load the Qt xcb platform plugin.
qt.qpa.plugin: Could not load the Qt platform plugin "xcb" in "" even though it was found.
This application failed to start because no Qt platform plugin could be initialized. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

I am running the latest and (Bookworm), but it's command line only and I am trying to run the installer from SSH. On another forum someone suggested specifying the connected display, but they didn't say how to do that. Does anyone know if that is the correct solution? And if so, how do you do that?

here is how I installed Qt on my Raspberry:

Code: Select all

sudo apt install qtcreator qt6-base-dev qmake6 qt6-declarative-dev qt6-connectivity-dev
Not using the online installer.
