I can't watch youtube or imdb videos on chromium browser
I can't watch youtube or imdb videos on it. I hear the sound playing but the video screen is white. (Not just for this version of Chromium. It was also same with previous Chromium)
Re: I can't watch youtube or imdb videos on chromium browser
Which OS are you running on that Pi? Raspberry Pi OS with desktop (64-bit) "Bookworm" or something else?
Which Pi is it?
On my Pi5 4GB running that Bookworm, Imdb trailer videos work fine with Chromium
Version 126.0.6478.164 (Official Build) Built on Debian , running on Debian 12 (64-bit)

It looks like it happens on different DEs other than Raspi OS default desktop. I am using GNOME on Pi5. Also here is another same subject: viewtopic.php?t=374036

Thanks. I don't consider disabling hardware acceleration as fix though. By the way, the topic wasn't created by me, it was created by mods. It is annoying that they do things on your behalf. I posted that comment on another topic.jerrymxfb wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2024 7:30 pmI just saw a leepsvideo on that topic, including fixes--maybe it will solve your problem:

did you install rpi-chromium-mods
you want the rpi setup version for chromium, so you only need to install rpi-chromium-mods and let it pull in the rest.
can you show your install line

No problems here, but I am using XFCE with Xorg no Wayland.
Chromium 128.0.6613.137-1~deb12u1
Firefox 130.0-1+rpt7
Perhaps it is an extension causing the problem?
