years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.com date
The downloads.raspberrypi.com/rpd directory/folder's date is much older (four years) date than OS in it: can administrators please update/touch? I only found out about latest rpd release years later. All other variants--like ARM64 RaspiOS--have main and OS directories match so people can notice releases. Will rpd be updated?

Re: years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.org date
Wouldn't issues relating to 'raspberrypi.org' need to be directed to Raspberry Pi Foundation ?
They are now a separate entity to Raspberry Pi Ltd who only administer 'raspberrypi.com', AIUI.

Probably not. It was last updated on 2022年07月04日. It was limited to 32-bit x86, which is no longer supported by Debian ("architecture is supported only as a co-architecture for running 32-bit software on amd64")

Downloads.raspberrypi.(com|org) contents are identical: suggestion remains.

That is how timestamps on directories always work.
When you create/remove/rename a directory entry, that updates the timestamp of the directory. It does not update all the parents all the way back to the root.
The direct contents of rpd_x86/ have not changed, but their contents have.
Re: years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.com date
Doesn't matter. The archive administrators either touched or replaced the ARM64 OS directories so their dates match contents and should do same with rpd.jojopi wrote:That is how timestamps on directories always work.

Re: years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.com date
I don't know about the timestamps, they don't have any documented meaning or significance, so I'm not going to touch them. But, getting an amd64 image out is on top of the todo list right now.

That's good to know, these can be quite handy to use on older PC, look forward to a new version....
Re: years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.com date
The 32-bit version of Buster RPD has been very useful to me for very old PC, especially NetBooks and Laptops, but I can appreciate an RPD version of 32-bit Trixie may not be a priority for Raspberry Pi.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem a priority for anyone, nor even desirable these days. So, if wanting to keep old stuff running, it now means running an old RPD Buster, Debian Bookworm or older Windows version.

Re: years-outdated downloads.raspberrypi.com date
Trixie is a lot heavier than Buster was and Debian no longer supports i386 as a full install (only chroot/containers). So I don't think it will be suitable for the same the really old low end hardware. I'm sure there are still many distros out there more suited for that.
