Latest GPIO Libarys

Wed Feb 05, 2025 12:50 pm

Dear Community,

I'm searching for methods / ways to code gpio controlling apps in other languages then c/c++ or python!"
Im running a Raspberry Pi 4B and Raspberry Pi 5 and I'm really interested in using other gpio programming languages!"
Does someone knows about a working NodeJS or PHP, etc Libary?

If there is someone who would like to code a gpio-libary for other languages with me in a team, i'd like to agree and start whenever you are ready for a revolution!" :D

I forked the WiringPi Repositorys the be ready to get analysied/hacked/ported and lately implemented !"

If someone would like to spent some time with me in supporting the old milestiones's I'd be happy as a customer when his Raspberry Pi arrived!"

This project uses Rust - pigg - GUI for remote control of Raspberry Pi GPIO hardware: https://github.com/andrewdavidmackenzie/pigg

There have been a number of Ruby GEM libraries that interact with GPIO hardware. I can't say if any have been maintained for RPi[5] RP1-based hardware. https://gorails.com/forum/ruby-gems-to- ... ry-pi-gpio

What's the problem with that - for @home tinkering with GPIO and web?

I've no problems with that at all, I like web-designing myself, and PHP is one of my fave code language. This will add an extra dimension to my web design

About WiringPi, tnx for the contribution efforts to make it work with the Pi 5!

Support: WiringPi supports all Raspberry Pi Boards including Pi 5 ( 🚧 On the Pi 5, only the GCLK functionality is currently not supported due to missing documentation of the RP1 chip).

Debug

WIRINGPI_DEBUG=1 ./my_wiringpi_program

WIRINGPI_DEBUG=1 gpio readall

Are you saying gpio readall command could be used again on the Rasp Pi 5???

GCLK functionality is not working for the Pi 5 under WiringPi instead is correct??
