USB Booting on Gentoo (Raspberry Pi 4): Wi-Fi Issues

Thu Nov 11, 2021 12:11 am

Hello, it's been a year since I last posted. If I posted this in the wrong category, please reply, and I'll delete it. Many apologies in advance!

I'm trying to use gentoo on my RPI4 via USB Booting, and it's going okay. The only issue is that the wi-fi doesn't work. Of course, I would need to emerge the proper firmware, but I don't have access to an ethernet cable (at least one attached directly to a router.) And even with another Linux computer using NetworkManager, I can't seem to share the internet with it.

Does anybody know the proper firmware files to install for the RPI 4 without emerging?
If you haven't known already, I'm Nirbodha.

Nirbodha means something along the lines of being dull in Bengali. As such, expect my responses to sound like a blockhead made them. Thanks.
