exgent-rpi4-64bit-lxde-200410: Trying to update

Wed Oct 21, 2020 5:35 am

Hi,

first I installed the ExGent Gentoo distro on my SSD (bootload is prepared for that) and it got stuck in the very early boot stage. A message
points me to www.raspberrypi.org, because the kernel would be too old / not supporting SSD boots.
The I installed the image on a SSDcard, which boots fine (but comes with a performance penalty, when later stuff would be compiled).

The I tried emerge sync and emerge --oneshot as described and this results in the advice to run emerge --revdep-rebuild because
elongind, pam and some other needed to be recompiled.
It ends with the message, that it could not check for some kernel features/settings needed to be configured and displayed the same
revdep-rebuild message again.

Beforehand I tried the gentoo distro by sakaki and tried to remove all dependencies to pulseaudio and pulseaudio itsself and found some
circular dependencies and finally gave up.

How can I successfully update the exgent distro to current state ?

Cheers!
