  • Alarms may not play when your display is asleep for a long period of time (FB10086690)
    • Workaround: Make your display not fall asleep in Settings > Lock Screen > Turn display off on ____ when inactive. You can turn your brightness off.
    • Issue present since macOS 13.0
Additional Notes
  • Please know, Memory Management has always been an issue on any OS (not just Apple's). If you believe there is a Memory Leak, please go to the Apple Menu > Restart > Restart to fix it.
  • When a new macOS release comes out, all issues automatically go to "Untested Issues" until they are moved by someone. Issues that stay in Untested for 3 releases (beta or smooth) will be removed from all future threads. When there is a new macOS release, please be sure to let us know about the issue's status by moving it to either "Remaining Issues" or "Resolved Issues"

Pardon me for asking this question, as I'm sure the answer is "Hell, no!" But is there a way to put the volume indicator on my iMac back down toward the bottom in the middle of the screen rather than the top right where I almost never look?

So far, with the exception of the Music app and all of its issues, Tahoe has been pretty stable for me. But I cannot stand this change for change sake on every little thing. We've all gotten used to things working one and changing them to something else is just nuts. And while I thought at first the new look was modern looking and I liked it. The new has quickly worn off and I'm ready to go back to where we were in design 10 years ago.

26.2 beta 2 broke some of my Alfred workflows and I had to use the command line to fix it.

tccutil reset AppleEvents com.runningwithcrayons.Alfred

Besides, it seems that the screen doesn't turn off anymore when I've locked the computer, even I have it enabled. Does anybody know how to fix it?

I'd love to know that as well. 26.1 has been a bit better, but Mission Control is still stuttering quite a lot even if there are only 2-3 windows. Next time it's smooth again, than stuttering again... really distracts the workflow
works ok on my M1 but I a) don't have many windows open b) don't use workspace and c) reduced animation.

yeah it's a bit random. It I notice it's especially bad when having an external display connected and scaled.

I'm seeing many regressions which haven't been around since late 26.0 betas. It puzzles me each time – what their development process looks like, so as for them to reintroduce regressions every new beta...

Also, this is a bit off, for the inactive state of Finder.
