Hello.
While scanning for some Values in Watch Dogs (64 bit), I noticed that Cheat Engine has Scan Errors on my Multi-Core-CPU. When I change the affinity to only run CE on 1 core, the errors are gone. I have only found an old topic from 2008 on this: cheatengine.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=287222 (can't post URLs yet) While scanning the most common error was "cheat engine scan error thread 3 access violation". (which mostly happened while 'compare to first scan results' was active) I also get Errors while Pointer Scanning with more than 1 CPU Core. System Info: - CE 6.4 - Win7 64bit SP1 - Intel Core i7 920 (8 cores) - 512 GB SSD with more than 350 GB free Disk Space available - 12 GB of RAM and open end pagefile on the SSD Is there any way to make CE run better ony my System? Do I need to check some settings (in CE or windows)? Or is there an optimized version of CE to run better on Multi-Core-CPUs? |

What variable type did you use ?
And if you use the All type, do you have any custom value types installed in cheat engine ? And is your system overclocked? One of the most common issues is when you overclock your system. CE is one of those apps that will trigger issues on an unstable system, while the normal benchmarks will say it's stable And have you selected any kernelmode functions in settings ? _________________ |

4 bytes and 'unknown initial value' (quite a lot of results) Pointer Scan for any value type will cause an error all the time though. Dark Byte wrote: And if you use the All type, do you have any custom value types installed in cheat engine?
No custom value types installed - this is a fresh CE installation. Dark Byte wrote: And is your system overclocked?
No, it is running in normal mode, where the Win7 OS can underclock it when there is no CPU usage. (This is the default setting for my CPU and BIOS) Dark Byte wrote: And have you selected any kernelmode functions in settings ?
If you mean "Settings > Extra > "Use the following CE Kernel routines ..." then no. These are all unchecked (default). |
