The Lockheed T-33 is an American subsonic jet trainer produced by Lockheed. It was manufactured between 1948 and 1959 with Lockheed producing a total of 5,691 and a further 866 built under licence by other manufacturers. The two-seater T-33s were used in the United States Air Force as an advanced trainer, and they have also been used for such tasks as drone director and target towing. It has also been supplied for use in the militaries of around 25 other countries. The plane was retired in the US in 1997 and its final operator, the Bolivian Air Force, retired it in 2017.
