| name | The name of the particle (MANDATORY) |
| image | The image for the infobox |
| caption | A caption for the image |
| num_types | The number of different types of the particle |
| classification | The particle's classification (if applicable) |
| composition | Is the particle an Elementary particle , or a composite – and in the latter case, what of? |
| statistics | The type of particle statistics that the particle satisfies (e.g. Fermionic, Bosonic, Anyonic, etc.). |
| group | The group into which the particle falls (e.g. Lepton, Quark, Gauge boson, Hadron, Meson, etc.). |
| generation | Does the particle belong to the first, second or third particle generation (family)? |
| interaction | The interactions that the particle takes part in – Gravity, weak, strong and/or electromagnetic. |
| particle | See antiparticle |
| antiparticle | The particle's antiparticle. Use particle instead if referring from an antiparticle page to a particle one. Wikilink if appropriate. |
| status | The status of the particle – hypothetical, or discovered. Omit this if discovered field is given. |
| theorised theorized |
When and by whom the particle was theorised. |
| discovered | The date of discovery of the particle and the discoverer. |
| symbol | The symbols that are commonly used to denote the particle. |
| mass | The invariant mass of the particle. |
| mean_lifetime | The average time until the particle decays. |
| width | The decay width of the particle. |
| decay_particle | The particle(s) that this particle decays into. |
| electric_charge | The electric charge that the particle carries (e.g. +1 e). |
| charge_radius | The particle's root mean square charge radius. |
| electric_dipole_moment | The particle's electric dipole moment. |
| electric_polarisability electric_polarizability |
The particle's electric polarisability. |
| magnetic_moment | The particle's magnetic dipole moment. |
| magnetic_polarisability magnetic_polarizability |
The particle's magnetic polarisability. |

The colour charge that the particle carries. What types? |
| spin | The spin that the particle has (e.g. 1/2 ħ or just 1/2). |
| num_spin_states | The number of spin states that the particle has. |
| lepton_number | The particle's lepton number. |
| baryon_number | The particle's baryon number. |
| strangeness | The particle's strangeness. |
| charm | The particle's charm. |
| bottomness | The particle's bottomness. |
| topness | The particle's topness. |
| isospin | The particle's isospin. |
| weak_isospin | The particle's weak isospin. |
| weak_isospin_3 | The particle's 3rd component of weak isospin. |
| hypercharge | The particle's hypercharge. |
| weak_hypercharge | The particle's weak hypercharge. |
| chirality | The particle's chirality – left- or right-handed. |
| B-L | The particle's B − L value. |
| X_charge | The particle's X charge. |
| parity | The particle's parity. |
| g_parity | The particle's G parity. |
| c_parity | The particle's C parity. |
| r_parity | The particle's R parity. |
| condensed_symmetries | The condensed symmetries in standard PDG format. |
