Documenting the American South utilizes Google Analytics to gather website usage statistics and to create monthly usage reports. Our reports (which can be linked to) include the statistics defined below.
The total number of visits to the site during the time period analyzed. Visits do not include additional pages that patrons visit during the same session (see "Page Views" immediately below).
The total number of pages visited during the time period analyzed, including all of the pages visitors link to during their session.
The average number of pages a user visits during a single session on our site.
The percentage of users who leave our site after viewing only the page on which they arrived.
The average amount of time users spend on our site per session.
The percentage of users who have never visited our site before.
Unique visitors during the time period analyzed. Repeat visits are not included in this statistic.
