This conference series aims to contribute to an analytical understanding of the issues raised by competition, innovation, and investment, develop empirical protocols and tests of economic models, promote the exchange and the dissemination of results at the forefront of research, and finally, evaluate current competition and regulation policies.
The objective of this annual conference is to present state-of-the-art empirical and theoretical research on household financial behaviour and on how it is influenced by other choices, government policies, and the overall economic environment.
CURE brings together circa 30 urban and regional economists from across the world. Alternating across the Atlantic, CURE is held in the USA on even years and hosted by the Wharton School (formerly Princeton University) and the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia. The European editions take place on odd years and is organised through the ITRE programme in different locations such as Madrid, Basel, Paris and Milan.
ERWIT, held annually since 1988, has become the leading research forum in international trade and has played a significant role in raising the profile and quality of research in international economics in Europe and beyond.
Participants are selected to include a mix of established European researchers with international reputations, young academics at the outset of their careers, and prominent authors from North America.
ESSLE is designed to bring together economists in the field from across Europe and key researchers from outside the region. It provides a unique opportunity for researchers from different universities and countries to discuss their work in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships. Another important aim of ESSLE is to provide young researchers with the opportunity to meet and discuss their work with senior economists.
The IMF Symposium takes place once a year and rotates among hosting institutions. The best cutting-edge research in International Macroeconomics and Finance, empirical and theoretical, is presented and discussed.
