Evi Pappa

Professor Evi Pappa is a Full Professor of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, with a distinguished academic background and a Ph.D. from Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her research lies at the intersection of monetary and fiscal policy, open economy macroeconomics, and business cycle dynamics. She has held academic appointments at several leading institutions, including the London School of Economics, Bocconi University, and the European University Institute. A prominent figure in the international research community, Professor Pappa currently serves as Editor of the European Economic Review and is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). She is also Chair of the Euro Area Business Cycle Dating Committee. Bridging the gap between academia and policy, she contributes to key policy discussions as an external member of the Portuguese Fiscal Council and as a consultant to the Bank of Spain.
