Ester Faia is Professor at Goethe University Frankfurt holding a Chair in Monetary and Fiscal Policy. She has been visiting professor at Harvard Economics in 2019-2020 and 2023-2024. She is Fellow of CEPR and is in the editorial board of the American Economic Journal: Macro. She earned bachelor and master from Bocconi University and a Ph.D. from New York University. She published extensively in top peer-journals in the fields of macro-labour, international and behavioural economics. She was awarded several national and European grants and research awards and she has been consulting for IMF, ECB and the European Commission.
