Emanuele Campiglio is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna. He is also a Scientist at the RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment (EIEE) and a Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). His research focuses on the links between climate change, macro-financial systems, and sustainability transitions. He is the recipient of an ERC Starting Grant (SMOOTH – Sustainable Finance for a Smooth Low-Carbon Transition) and an ERC Consolidator Grant (BELIEFS – Climate-related Beliefs and Low-Carbon Transition Dynamics, 2025–30). He is an Editor of Ecological Economics and the Academic Director of the EFFAS Certified Climate Risk Analyst (ECRA) Programme.
