Elena is an Economist in the Country Advisory and Economics unit of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), where she has worked since September 2024. Prior to joining the IFC, she held roles as an economist and policy coordinator at the European Commission, working at both the Directorate-General for Competition and the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation, as well as at the OECD. Elena holds an MRes in Analysis and Economic Policy from the Paris School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Padova. As part of her doctoral studies, she was a Visiting Student Research Collaborator at the London School of Economics.
