David Huffman

David Huffman is a Full Professor of Economics at University of Pittsburgh, and formerly an Associate Professor of economics at University of Oxford. His research is in the areas of Behavioral Economics, and Labor Economics broadly defined. Much of his work focuses on the interaction of monetary incentives with human psychology, in the context of the workplace, health decisions, and personal finance. He also does basic research in behavioral economics, mainly on heterogeneity in individual preferences regarding risk, time, and social interactions. His research uses a variety of methodologies, including field experiments, laboratory experiments, survey measures, and analysis of personnel data.
